Good day all! I currently have an Asus Zenbook UX305 and I have to say I love the most part of it, except that of the edgy and very very bad trackpad drivers. I am currently on the latest version of ASUS Smart Gesture downloaded from the ASUS site (4.0.12) and there is a significant amount of input lag, and a 2 centimeter deadzone of no input at the bottom of the trackpad. One expectation I had is that this could handle tasks with a very good trackpad since I am a previous Macbook Pro owner myself (although mac trackpads are generally unmatched in terms of tracking capabilities, it should still work properly as far as I'm concerned)

I have tried uninstalling the driver and using a generic windows driver it went from worse to absolutely perfect in inputs, but does not have the two finger scrolling or the windows 10 gestures in it so its just as bad. I need suggestions/solutions on drivers as I'm a previous mac owner and I didn't actually bother with these kinds of stuff.

Are you sure you got the correct drivers for the appropriate OS? Like are you sure you downloaded the win10 version (if you run win10). My current giant Asus laptop works fine with the tracking.

Also I'm thinking of getting a Zenbook UX305 as well, is the battery life good? Also the iGPU is an 520 yes? Because my local retailer said it had a 5500 (broadwell iGPU) despite the fact that the CPU is a 6th gen i5 and should have a skylake iGPU (520)

I've checked the ASUS website and yeah, I got the latest drivers for Win 10 x64 but still, tons of input lag and very very poor tracking.

Mine is the UX305F with the Core M 5y10 processor. The battery life can easily last up to 9-12 hours (web browsing, document making) and has not been plugged in much because of the great battery. And mine had the older 520 graphics, I think there's a new processor to the current UX305 lineup so it may have the Intel HD 5500.

Overall, I think its a very very good macbook air replacement. People actually get surprised how thin and light it is, not to mention the price. Although if you're a bit sensitive for trackpads (like me) you probably should wait until this gets fixed.

Actually the 520 is much better and newer than the 5500. Although im getting the i5 6200U model. If the battery life is good then I'm seriously considering getting it. Yeah im not sure why the smart gesture is being weird, because it works fine on my current Asus laptop just fine. Yeah not sure i can help you, but thanks for telling me how good the battery life is.
