Steam Update/Installing corrupted?

Every single time I reinstall CSGO I get to Installing or updating (ex. inf. says update but downloading stage says installing). Then it keeps on saying "Download Corrupt" or "update files corrupted", i have reinstalled Steam and CSGO multible times, but nothing happened... Specs: Intel I5 4460, AMD Radeon 5750, Old seagate HDD (2-3 years "old") and Steady 50-50 connection trough Ethernet.

This is just a guess of mine, it could be a dying drive. You could also try installing both steam and csgo on a different drive..

Yes my drive is dying I know that, but I only have 1 drive and right now I'm aiming for an 1060. Is there anything i can do to help it?

unfortunately no, maybe... you could try using a 32gb usb and put both steam and cs go for the time being..

wouldn't that give lower fps?

no, the loading times would be significantly slower instead. No FPS changes

no, it gets stored on the HDD. It only uses the ram to store some cache, but not too much as fas as I know

Is it best to buy an 750 evo 240Gb or wait to i have 100$(3 weeks) and buy the 1060? and then wait 3 weeks more before i can get the ssd

In your current situation, maybe a new storage is much needed since you can't do much with a dying drive. 

Although, if you play graphic intensive games and you really need that GPU go for the 1060. But remember that your HDD could fail outright anytime.

Just got payed and bought the GPU, but thank you VERY much for your responses, it helped a lot!!!
