AMD FX-6300 Overclocking

hello

i have been overclocking my fx 6300 rig and i wanted to know what other people with the same or similar CPU are getting and what the highest that this cpu has ever been overclocked to

has anyone got anything??

I clocked my 6300 to 4.5 once, my power supply happened to be trash and it damaged it. I think that if you don't know what you're doing its better to just NOT overclock because you can damage or break the chip.

i think? i know what am doing somewhat, i have been overclocking cpus/gpus since my first gaming/workstation rig wich was powered by core2duo e8300 if i can remember correctly and the bios at that time was kinda rubbish compared to what we got now. i dont tend to oc my gpus as often now tho as they are getting more powerful.

 

if you would like some help doing a oc i could possibly help you if you want i have currently got it a 4.4ghz stable as!

my goal is 4.5/4.6

its currently at 1.440 v

and 22x on the multiplier

this thing is a little bit more power hungry than what i was expecting
