Hey all! :D

First post here, thought I'd get some intel for my toaster that I wanna upgrade so bad

Right now i'm running a pre-made Hp desktop (I don't really know the exact model but will update once I get home)

Hardware Running:

Nvidia GT630 2GB

1 TB HDD

8 GB ram

Intel 3350P Core i5

Built-in 350W Power Supply

Razer Blackwidow Chroma

Razer Imperator

Razer Kraken Pro Chroma

Keep in mind that I bought this setup around 3 years ago and that I'm a broke college kid so don't really have much to spend on upgrades, so I want suggestions on cheap yet effective upgrades that would bump my FPS up.

broke college kid that went with the sheep and bought overpriced Razer peripherals. GG.

motherboard is most likely some horrid proprietary HP piece of junk

Socket is 1155, but it's hard to recommend a better CPU (though not entirely needed) without knowing what the motherboard supports

Haha the peripherals were actually christmas presents xD so I didn't really spend anything on those

I'm not sure about the motherboard spec, but it has;

3 PCI Express x1 Slots
1 PCI Express x16 slot

1 PCI mini slot

RTL8171E Ethernet

Standard HP Wireless card

2 USB 3.0 ports in the front

6 USB 2.0 ports in the back

DVI, VGA, 5.1 Audio inputs

doesn't help. Knowing the prebuilt model would be a starting point.

So a bit of googling helped and the Pre built model is actually a HP Pro 3400/3410

Although it says that it is bundled with 2nd Gen processor, mine came with a 3rd gen

I'm planning on to play LoL and Guild wars 2, and if I can get some AAA titles to run, because right now the 630 doesn't run any AAA titles unless I put it to Low to Medium-Low

Type dxdiag into your start menu to find your motherboard model.

Also after upgrading your GPU, get an SSD.

I edit my posts a lot.
