Alright I wanna upgrade my desk game, currently have a $30 linnmon that's not big enough I've got an Alex drawer unit and some sort of weird computer like holder that's the same size as the Alex so I've got two supports for the left and right for what I plan.

The Plan and the Parts

  1. 8 foot wide KARLBY kitchen countertop
  2. Two Ikea LERBERG Trestles for the middle of the counter top
  3. Two Alvangen table lamps for either side of my desk with RGB led bulbs from Amazon
  4. 1 Signum cable management thingy for the bottom of the desk
  5. 1 Fixa kit for more cable management

Total: $245 or so

Any other things I should look out for or additions I should make, do I really need to get 2 trestles for the middle of the desk or no? I just feel like my triple monitor stand and other accessories on my desk and maybe my PC since I'll have 8ft of desk space might cause some bending in the counter top especially in the middle so I wanted to get 2 trestles to be sure and put them all the way at the back.

Thanks

I'm an owner of a rather large Galant desk.

When I was looking for a desk it kept coming up. So I bought one, then added on. It seems like essentially everyone is coming up with a unique situation that suits them to replace it.

Try to find some good legs from Ikea. Do 3. One at each end for it to stand, and 1 in the back middle on the same. Just make the back middle one flat, like an up against the wall leg. The 2 end legs will be one way together, with the middle leg being the support in the middle.

That way the middle leg can support the weight of your monitors, whichever end leg can be the support for the under desk computer stand.

I'm a Galant owner, and I'm honestly glad I spent the money on it, and all of it's upgrades. It's an amazing desk, but at 350 US when I bought just the L shape, under desk computer stand, 2 cable mgmt things, and 3 legs, it wasn't cheap.  Neither was it's multiple additions.

Hope I could help and provide some insight from the Galant desk to maybe help you in your desk.
