I'm just looking for some help on my build, I think I have it down pretty well but I would like to make sure I haven't messed up. Please leave any comments and part reccomendations. Thanks!

What's your budget?

I will most likely not respond to you in a thread unless you quote me.

$500 PC | $800 PC | $1000 PC | $1200 PC | $1500 PC | $2000 PC | $2500 PC | $3000 PC | $4000 PC

Spoiler

Damnit Carl (My portable POS):

CPU: Core i7-6700HQ

Motherboard: Toshiba L55-C5392 Mobo

RAM: 8GB DDR3 (even though I have Skylake)

GPU: Intel HD Graphics 530

Case: Toshiba L55-C5392 Case

Storage: 525 GB Crucial MX300 SSD

PSU: Whatever power jack comes with it

Display: Some 1366 x 768 garbage + an OK 1080p monitor

Cooling: Not enough + an external laptop tray

Keyboard: The included one

Mouse: $4 Lenovo 3D Optical Mouse (not as bad as you (rightly) assumed)

Sound: The Skullcandy branding right under the power button should clue you in

Operating System: Windows 10 Home

Updated a few things: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Wttk6X

  1. First off, your build was only $1450, meaning you weren't fully utilizing the budget. I rectified that.

  2. Switched the CPU Cooler to a Cryorig H7 because it's a better cooler.

  3. Changed your SSD to a PNY one, because it's actually better performing, while costing only slightly more.

  4. Switched your 1070 to a slightly higher performing one that better takes advantage of the budget.

  5. I changed your case fans to better performing Corsair ones which are actually cheaper. It also turns out the case you bought has 6 fan slots so I put 6 of them because it's still in your budget.

So there you go.

I will most likely not respond to you in a thread unless you quote me.

I will modify accordingly. Not everything you changed will be added, but thanks for the part reccomendations!
