They over reacting....

1-just buy a better CPU cooler A6 CPU isn't that bad....

2-get a power supply a bit stronger and the gtx 960

That is wasting money

I built an A6 system, and let me tell you, that cpu isnt good at all for gaming, also those are doom to fail someday if you are running it at those temps, lower the clock speeds and get a better cooler like a hyper T4. I would recommend to just get a g3258 or an i3 and use that with the 960.

G3258 is shit as well. i3 minimum and 960 is a waste.

Save up for a new CPU, board, GPU and PSU. Don't invest any more money in a crap CPU.

The A6 has two weak cores, I would not recommend it to anyone for gaming. I used my A6 for school work and whatever. I agree a better powersupply would be in need for the 960 tho

Current built PCs:

1: XFX DD  AMD R7 260x / AMD FX-6300 4.7ghz OC /  MSI 970A Krait edition mobo / Deepcool captain 120 AIO cooler / 10gb of 1866 ram???? / 750W evga psu  / 1TB Seagate 'Cuda + 16GB SSD /  packed into a Bitfenix Shadow  window

2: Intel G3258 3.5 GHZ OC / G1 gaming 4gb GTX960 / 8GB of Ram / 128GB A-data ssd/ misc gigabyte mobo / Alpine Pro rev2.0 cooler / 500W Seasonic PSU / in a Bitfenix Pandora Window

3: AMD A6-7400K 3.8 GHZ OC / Misc AM2+ Gigabyte mobo / Cooler master Hyper T2 Cooler / 1 TB Seagate 'Cuda / 8GB 1866 corsair vengeance pro RAM / XFX 500W psu / in a cougar spike case

4: Intel G3258 oc 4ghz / Random MSI mobo / 1TB seagate 'Cuda / Cooler master hyper T-4 / 8GB Fury X ram / 4GB Club 3D R9 380 / 500W EVGA psu / locked up in a thermaltake versa N21 window

5: AMD FX-6300 4.1OC / Cooler master T4 cooler / MSI 970A gaming motherboard / 1TB Western digital blue / 8GB Hyper X Ram / 500W Thermaltake PSU / 2GB XFX DD R9 280 / Bitfenix Nova window case

The odd laptop: Asus ROG GL552-VW / intel i7 skylake / GTX 960M 2GB / 1TB toshiba HDD / 128 GB A-data M.2 SSD

Maybe even new ram,i dont know how much ram he has but if he has 4gb he really needs 8gb so probably even more ram

He COULD re-use the 2x2 he has. Though that depends if he goes Skylake or Haswell

Let's be honest, that pc does not have any upgrade potential, the only he can use is the case which we dont what case he has maybe its a mini tower and he needs a atx board,HDD which may be slow and to small and possibly the ram but depends which platform he goes,i suggest sell the pc for cheap and just build a new one

1st - new PSU so as to not have your system catch fire
2nd - Intel i3 4160 + H81/B85 board
3rd - new GPU

Guys u scarying him....

For light gaming u will be fine with better CPU cooler PSU and the gtx 950

If you have the money you can replace the A6 with the A8--7650k its a nice quad core CPU who won't bottlekneck the gtx 960

Since when is GTA V light gaming exactly? His CPU is crap, it's overheating in a tiny ass case and his PSU is likely to cause a house fire.

Your old GPU is embedded into the CPU and a PSU is a MUST.

Well, you may want to get an i3 4130 or 4160 since it's cheaper than the i5, also a SeaSonic S12II or XFX TS 500W PSU. As for the GPU - look for a R7 360 or R7 370. Those should be cheap enough
