3DMark not working properly

Go to solution Solved by FM_Jarnis,

Try deleting c:\ProgramData\Futuremark\3DMark folder, then restarting 3DMark

If that doesn't do the trick, try refreshing your Steam client files and ensure family sharing is not enabled (Steam refuses to install DLCs if family sharing is on)

If still no go, send email to info@futuremark.com and include your system specs and the 3DMark.log file that is found in Documents/3DMark folder

so i installed 3DMark and it was working fine until they released time spy, then i cant even run any benchmark because...

even though i can run the other benchmarks before, now they just stuck at 0% but Steam still says they're all installed (including time spy)

i tried removing local content of 3DMark in steam and reinstalling it, still the same issue

my laptop however can run firestrike but cant run time spy, it will load the systeminfo thing then says error

As for the laptop, wild guess; you have iGPU and dGPU, and the benchmark tries to run on the iGPU and dies in a fire due to outdated / broken Intel video driver.

Force the system to always use dGPU or add 3DMarkTimeSpy.exe to the list of applications in optimus / that-amd-thing-that-does-the-same-thing and tell it to use dGPU.

Sorry, 555m is not DX12 capable. 600 series is the earliest NV with DX12 drivers available.

NVIDIA drivers for 500 series does not have DX12 support. Even when NVIDIA site claims the GPU to support the API.

Google "fermi dx12 drivers" (Fermi is the NV architecture in 400/500 series cards)

I guess it is theoretically possible they might still release them at some point, but last I checked they have not done so yet.

hmm...

i think laptop's gpu is sorta mixed bags, since GT555M and GT635M uses the same die

but i do think it's Fermi too

btw, DX12 on fermi is available, just need 365.19 or later drivers
