So I currently plan on building a new gaming PC for me. Saved some money over the last four years (when I bought my current PC).

Wanted to ask if there is something you would switch out or if there is something I overlooked. So here we got with the build:

CPU:                               i7-5820k

CPU Cooler:                   Custom

Motherboard:                 Asus ROG Strix X99 Gaming

Memory:                        G.Skill Ripjaws V Series DDR4-2400 4x8GB

Power:                           beQuiet! Power Zone 750W

GPU:                              Asus ROG GTX 1080 OC

My plan for this whole setup: be able to play on 1440p with decent FPS (which I should be able to) and streaming (+recording with OBS).

I went with the 5820k over the 6700k because I might wanna give editing a try and a friend of mine told me if I'm going for streaming and recording I might as well get the 5820k anyway.

I'm not really sure about the power supply right now. Also is it better to get 2x16GB ram over 4x8GB or is there no difference (prices are the same iirc)? Or is 32GB not needed?

If there is anything else you wanna know feel free I will check regularly.

Btw.: I wont buy all the stuff from amazon and german amazon has different prices anyway. In whole the build costs about 2500€ including all the cable sleeving and so on (going for a black/red design).

1080 and 5820k? You can easily do 1440p 60 fps while streaming. I can do that on my 970 at 1080p 60fps. The ram is up to you upgrading and aesthetics. If you dont plan on upgrading above 32gb then I would get the 4x8 just because it looks nice but I doubt you'll need to upgrade your ram only if you want to. And dont cheap out on a psu because if you dont have a surge protector, one surge of electricity could fry your whole system. A platinum or gold one around 800-1000 watts should be pretty good for you

Oh I thought the bronze-platinum only tells you how efficient the power supply works. If that's the case I will definitly get a better one like the Dark Power 11.

Thanks :)

Yea the dark power 11 is a really great psu, pricey but really worth it if you want high performance. Good luck with the build!

BeQuiet power supplies are pretty expensive. I would look at other alternatives like the Corsair RMx/RMi, EVGA G2, XFX XTR and SuperFlower Leadex.
