DBAN for Mac

Just wondering if there is a way I can use DBAN for Mac, I have a Mac Mini that I want to clear the drive of before I sell it. I tried booting to the disc with the "c" key during startup and that doesn't work.

Boot with cmd+r, that should bring you into the mac recovery mode. From there open up disk utility and you can then wipe the drive and re-install a fresh copy of osx

That's not a very strong way of wiping drives before selling for security reasons. I need something powerful like DBAN.

umm....its as strong or as not strong as you like. Disk utility can do up to a 35 pass or something like that if you want....

For all intents and purposes, anything more than 2 passes is overkill.

Where are the options to do things like 35 passes? I've never seen them before

Oh, under secure erase options? If so, I see 4 options there.

Yep, under security options. even a 7 pass erase is overkill as far as I'm concerned, but I suppose it cant hurt.
