Help needed for new build

1. Budget & Location

About $1300 AUD.  I live in Australia.

 

2. Aim

Gaming mostly, but some rendering as well.  I mostly play GTA IV (At bad settings) and Minecraft, but that is only because I'm limited by my computer's hardware. I'd like to play some FPS games too.

 

3. Monitors

1 monitor at 1680x1050 (16:10). Not planning on getting any more monitors, though could maybe upgrade in a couple of years to a higher resolution.

 

4. Peripherals

None needed and already have Windows 8.

 

5. Why are you upgrading?

My current computer is becoming outdated and it isn't very good, and I want to play MORE GAMES

 

What I have come up with so far:

I'm also going to take the hard drive and the optical drive out of my current computer and put into this build.  I'd also like to get an SSD, I was thinking maybe a Samsung 840 EVO 250GB.

 

Not 100% on what PSU because I'd like a modular PSU such as a Corsair RM series, but it isn't avaliable in Australia.

 

I'd also like to SLI the GTX 760s and overclock the CPU, so I will be probably be getting a Corsair H100i to cool it. So i'm not sure what wattage PSU I should get.

 

Feel free to change the parts, though I would like to get the 350D.

Downgrade the motherboard, the Maximus is not worth it in my opinion, especially when you can get a much better GPU with the extra money. I'd buy a 7950 instead of the 760 or wait for R9 GPUs to come out.

I think 700W is enough, maybe 650W.

Switch the gpu with a 7970(if the price is low enough) or a 7950......AMD cards are good w/ rendering

 

 

@Langdon beat me........and like he said you may want to wait for the new AMD cards

Get a cheaper motherboard, Arc Mini R2, and a 7970/R9-280x
