For some time ive had a problem were my ram sticks have been running at 3gb on idle and since yesterday programs i have been using have started to randomly crash like google chrome pages or any game. Also i want to try do a memtest but im very confused with the msi layout on where i can make it run straight off the usb stick so if someone could help us that'll be great :D

Specs:

Corsair Vengeance pro 1600mhz 2x4gb sticks

gtx 970 g1 gaming gigabyte

msi z97 gaming 5 mobo

corsair 750rm

kingston 120 ssd

2gb hard drive seagate

I7-4790k

f you're using Windows, you can use the Processes tab in Task Manager, to see which application hogs memory. Additionally check the Event Logs, by typing "Event Viewer" in your Start Menu (or screen).
