I prefer NZXT Cases and PSU's because I like how they look and they tend to be cheap relative to other alternatives while maintaining high quality.

I prefer Kingston RAM and SSD's because of the exact same reason as above.

I prefer ASRock motherboards because of the exact same reason as above sans the brown PCB. But that looks black in a dark enough case.

I prefer AMD CPU's and GPU's because I like the way they look and they tend to be the best price-performance ratio. Intel usually is better, but for a much heftier price tag, and Nvidia's look nice, but are not good where I want them to be whereas AMD is. Under heavy load.

I'm currently using an Epic Gear Meduza HDST mouse, which I chose because the way it looked, and it was unique as it is both Laser and Optical at the same time, or either/or. Depends on the settings.

I am also using a Monoprice Cherry MX Blue Switch Mechanical Keyboard because Monoprice is known for high quality, but cheap products (by me and many others) and I like the way it looks, along with it's sturdiness.

I will be buying an ASUS 23" 1080p monitor because ASUS pretty much makes great "everything".

Edit: Oh, and I'll be getting an XFX AMD R9 290X because they have a life-time warranty when the other manufacturer's do not.

I don't care about the brand, as long as the price is good and the product has all the quality I want it to have (like built quality, special features, etc) it's good for me.

All my periphericals are Logitech though, I'm not a mindless fanboy it's just that I've had really good experiences with their products and their CS.

I'd say that I'm pretty all around, I've built three computers in my house and the home server, and they are all very different.

1. My Rig(in sig)

2. Mother's Desktop with an i3, ASUS Motherboard, OCZ Agility 3

3. Home Server with a Pentium G2020, MSI motherboard, Corsair Force GT

4. Father's Desktop with ASRock motherboard, AMD A10-6800K, Plextor M5M

5. Laptop: Thinkpad X1 Carbon

But I've also recommended the Surface RT to my mother and the Macbook Airs/Retina MBPs to my father.

I really just choose things based on what suits my needs, with very little brand preference(except maybe ASUS motherboards, but those are also more expensive so usually I avoid them)

I do have brand preference for my keyboard/mouse/mousepad though, all Razer, but it's not even all peripherals, don't go to them for audio.

I use Audioengine A2s for speakers, ATH-M50S headphones and Westone UM3X IEMs.

Phone is an HTC One, but this is the record of every phone I've owned:

1. Sony Ericsson Z610i

2. iPhone 3GS

3. Samsung Galaxy S3

4. HTC One

Desktop: Core i5-2500K, ASUS GTX 560, MSI Z68A GD65, CM HAF 912 Advanced, OCZ Vertex 4, WD 1TB Black, Seasonic P660, Samsung S27A850D, Audioengine A2, Noctua NH-D14, NB eLoops

Laptop: Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon

Peripherals: Razer Blackwidow Ultimate 2013, Razer Deathadder 3.5G, Razer Deathadder 2013, Razer Goliathus Control, Razer Manticor

I am highly against any kind of "this brand is good" mentality because as soon as you start taking the logo into consideration when buying something, you are a fanboy in my eyes.

The only parts I got which are from the same manufacturer are:

HDDs: In my desktop I got one Samsung F3 (1TB) and one Samsung F4 (2TB). I bought the Samsung F3 because it was cheaper than the WD Black and it performed better (at least compared to the WD Black that was out when I bought mine). The F4 was simply the cheapest 2TB drive around when I ordered.

I also got four Seagate drives (cheapest 2TB drive on the market when I ordered them) in my NAS so I guess I guess you could say I don't stick to one brand for HDDs either.

My memory and PSU are both from Corsair, but that's because it was the cheapest RAM sticks when I ordered, and the Corsair PSU I got was the cheapest high quality ~650W PSU when I ordered. Oh and I've bought like 5 Corsair CX430W because they are the cheapest high quality <400W PSU I can order here in Sweden, and it's been the cheapest for like 2 years now.

For DAC/AMP I only own FiiO products, but that's because the FiiO E7 and FiiO E9 can work together (the E7 docks into the E9), and that's the only DAC/AMP I got.

I guess you could say I tend to buy Logitech mice. A few years ago I had three Razer Deathadders in three years (they all died roughly 1 year after I bought them) so I decided to test the MX 518 (somehow had a spare MX 518 lying around in my room) instead and I really liked the shape. So when my MX 518 died I bought a G500, and when that died I bought another one, which I still use. So I am not sure if it counts, but I've bought the G500 from Logitech twice now, but that's because I like the shape and feel of it, not the brand.

With my first rig I had all logitech peripherals, G15(keyboard which still works after spilling Milo all over it), G5 (mouse which died afer 3 years and I really want to get another one) and the G35(headphones which broke when I placed them in my car...good riddance).

Have two Asus monitors (although always wanted a samsung one but somehow went with asus)

Otherwise for everything else it was just what was the best for cheap :)

My Rig:

I am an all around brand because some brands are more better than other imo in terms of computer parts. For peripherals I use Logitech because used this brand for my peripherals and they have been great.

I am all around for most of the things, but I tend to choose corsair and asus products more than others. As of peripherals:

I have a Sony headset

A4Tech Wireless Mouse (lol)

Razer Starcraft II Marauder Keyboard (I won it on a contest :D)

As for what I would buy it would be Corsair K95 keyboard, LG's new wireless mouse(once you go wireless, you never go back to wired). And SteelSeries 9H or that big fluffy one SteelSeries Siberia Elite.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12; GPU: GeForce RTX 3080 Gigabyte Vision OC V2 10GB; PSU: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified; RAM: 4x32GB (w/RGB xd); SSD: 1xM.2 Samsung 980 Pro 1TB, 1xM.2 Samsung 970 Pro 1TB, 1xWD 6TB HDD; OS: 10; Monitor: 1xAorus IPS 27" (2560x1400) 1xBenq IPS 32" 4kKeyboard: Corsair K95; Mouse: Logitech G Pro X Superlight w/ Steelseries QcK mousepad.

Laptop - HP Omen 15" w/5800U, GPU 3070, 1TB M.2 WD Black, 2TB M.2 Samsung 980 Pro, 64GB RAM.
