Hello everyone,

I've been facing this issue since I bought this computer. I got A4-4020 and R7 240(ASUS low profile 2GB DDR3 version). First time I've noticed this issue was in Dota 2, but typing "-DX11" in launch options on Steam made it disappear. The sound is stuttering when this happens and the only way I can get my PC working again is restarting it completely.

I downloaded Modern Warfare 2 couple of days ago and I got this screen when playing it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxMrpvXR7EYnVjdTdGg2Z...

I also played Far Cry 4 before playing MW2 and it worked fine.

Thanks for any help in advance!

Did you download AMD Catalyst http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMDCatalyst15-7WINReleaseNotes.aspx

and use latest drivers? Also what did forcing DX 11 make go away.If you do have the latest drivers try using DDU and a new install but we need more details please.

I downloaded 16.7.1 drivers. Forcing DX 11 stopped the gray screen issue but only in Dota 2. I had this problem in CS:GO too but it magically disappeared. Forcing DX 11 in Modern Warfare 2 didn't help. I switched to integrated graphics for about a week to check if it's the monitor but it worked just fine.

MW2 only supports DX9 so forcing Dx11 will Porb make it crash, as for MW2 try running it without the dx11 command and if it's still crashing try forcing dx9 (-DX9) you said it runs other games no problems right?

I'm pretty sure that's a result of your GPU being unstable.

I first played it without forcing DX 11 and it crashed so I wanted to try DX 11.

I don't know, Far Cry 4 worked fine, didn't get any issues(had to use dual core injector). In Dota 2 it fixes the issue, in CS:GO it doesn't but I guess newer drivers made it stop crashing and now it's Modern Warfare 2 that is crashing anyway I run it.

I have tried Unigine Heaven 4.0 few times, it worked fine but I didn't use it for really long. I have Modern Warfare 3 so I'm going to try it too and see what happens but I am going to do it later since it's 2:35 am here. I'm sure my CPU works fine since my PC worked fine with integrated graphics and when I rendered few videos on 99% CPU usage.

Yeah if you can leave it on for like 20-30mins see if like unigine has artifacts or sometime weird

Well guess what, I tried playing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare because it's a newer game and it runs on DX 11. It worked fine for like 2-3 hours. This leaves me with a conclusion that my graphics card crashes in DX 9 games only for some reason... is the only possible reason drivers?

yeah sounds like a driver problem with DX9 hopefully a patch will come out and fix it
