Hello, I currently have a 5 year old PC that I built in 2011. My current GPU is a GTX460 and I have had no need or want to upgrade for all these years. However I now game at 1440p and my current GPU can barely keep up. I would like to know when will the RX460 be released and will it have a low profile variant?

Thank you.

Did you mean RX 480?  That might be more what you are looking for regardless

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

At 1440p you might not be too happy with an RX 460 either. I mean unless you're either playing at the lowest settings and only want like probably bearly 30fps or playing older games or otherwise less demanding games. But the RX 470 would be a better step up for that then.

No I mean the RX460. I have not spent money on a videogame in nearly 5 years. I'm excited for skyrim remastered and would like a new GPU. I have 2 PCs in my house; One is a prebuilt that can only take low profile cards(it already has a GTX745) and the other is my gaming rig with the GTX460. I would like to purchase two RX460s one for each computer.

I'd have 1 pc instead of 2 low end pcs, but I can't look how your situation is. If I were you I would buy one good gaming rig instead of upgrading 2 low end ones.

CPU: AMD 3800X GPU: GTX 1080 Ti RAM: (16GB) 2x Corsair 8gb DDR4 3200Mhz Drives: SanDisk 240GB SSD, Samsung 500GB SSD, WD 1TB HDD

Motherboard: MSI X470 Gaming pro plus PSU: Gigabyte 650 watt Monitor(s): 27 inch AOC 1440p

Well, looking at the 750 TI, there were low profile versions of it. And the RX 460 is trying to be a replacement for that card..So Its likely possible that some company will have a low profile edition, though obviously that will not be at launch so, You're gonna have to wait a while.

One PC is in my office, the other is in the living room. I have no desire to purchase hardware upgrades to play most modern games as they disappoint me(battlfeild series, total war, etc). Skyrim remastered being the only exception. So my current level of graphics are fine for now.

Please does anyone know the release dates of the RX460? I came here to ask as I saw linustechtips reveal the RX480 and I was hoping whatever relationship you people had with AMD would help answer my question.
