PC won't turn on, help

Hi, I was using my pc last night just fine and I shut it down over night and when I woke up today it wouldn't work! Nothing happens when I press the power switch. Everything appears to be built correctly and has no loose cables, pc about a week old. PLEASE HELP ME!!

By doesn't power on do you mean when you press the power button nothing happens. Or does it come on but no display?

@YoFavRussiannothing happens at all, no lights, no display no nothing.

Did it storm at all overnight, could've blown your PSU, or worse.

Try jumping the psu without the mobo and the rest of your components. If it doesn't work when you jump it also try connecting a hdd or something along those lines because it might need a device to pull power.

@YoFavRussian Yeah it always storms in sydney but pretty sure just rain no lightening. This happened to me a few days ago aswell so annoying!

And I imagine that it fixed itself last time? That is quite interesting, maybe check the power button leads that connect to your MB.

 @YoFavRussian yeah it was the most bizarre thing, I left it and then went out and when I came home it was all lighting up and fans spinning when I walked it.  Worked fine all that day and then I shut it down to sleep and now its not working again.

Ok strange, I unpluged everything and left it with no power for about 30 minutes and I came back and replugged and it turned on fine, wtf this is the weirdest thing

Next time this happens, instead of unplugging, I want you to push the cable inwards only. This will tell us if: 1) it's always plugged in all the way, or 2) there isn't a problem with the power cable or the connector on the machine.

Hey all final update: I took my PC to the store and they said the motherboard was busted so they replaced it under warranty. Thanks all for help, its working great! Appreciate all your help!  @straight_stewie @Silencer @YoFavRussian @kebo2015
