Hey gugs.

Im posting from my phone so here we go.

I was playing GTA V on my pc and the screen went white and the audio made that disgusting freezing sound.

I restarted my pc and made it to the login screen. The second I logged into my account the screen had a blue line flicker and the screen went black. After the screen went black it would stay like that for 10 seconds then the PC would restart by itself. I reinstalled Windows and I am able to login to my account now but after like 3 minutes the PC the the blue line thing and freezes then restarts by itself

I need help guys please

sounds like an overheat or instability issue. try reapplying TIM on the CPU and reseating the heatsink.

is the CPU OC'd or is it running at stock frequency, also are you using a dedicated GPU or the iGPU. if you can try using differnent ram

There's a couple things you can try, depending on what's going wrong.

Is it storage? Try to get to windows and run chkdsk /f in an elevated command prompt

Is it your RAM? Use another computer to download memtest86+ and make a bootable USB flash drive with it.

Is it your GPU? See if you get the error by disconnecting the GPU and connecting your displays to the motherboard (it will run on integrated graphics).

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Computer having a hard time powering on? Troubleshoot it with this guide. (Currently looking for suggestions to update it into the context of <current year> and make it its own thread)
