Help with custom loop parts

Hi guys,

i want to do a custom water loop to cool the CPU and The gigabyte 1080 gaming card.

 

can anyone help me out with a parts list that would work best with what I have and in that case?

basic parts, no links.

lga 1151 waterblock.

male/female fittings.

tubing that corresponds to fitting diameter

optional(quick disconnects)

d5 pump

reservoir

gigabyte gtx 1080 waterblock

Will any 1080 block work or does it have to be specific for gigabyte G1 gaming?

Ok one last post! I have chosen all my parts for my Water loop and my system. Is all the water cooling parts I chose correct and compatible? Have I missed anything?

Looks like you're pretty much getting everything from EK. You could probably save money by getting a kit from them, then adding a gpu block and a couple of fittings. IIRC one of their kits has a D5 pump res combo.

I have compression fittings on the list somewhere. But fans, I knew there was something I was missing! I have just ordered the case so I want to wait until it arrives before I order the water cooling parts to see what size and how many rads will fit.

I wouldn't go with the coolant dye.

You risk having a gunked up loop

Look at your cases "specs" and it will list the radiator support.

How often would you have to clean out the loop to avoid the gunk build up from the dye? And if I still got dyed coolant is there any brands that would be better then ekwb ones?

Some people clean it out monthly.

Depends on how much you like doing maintenance
