Help with Logitech Gaming Software

So, I recently purchased a G502 Proteus Spectrum Logitech Gaming Mouse. My problem is with the Logitech gaming software. After I set it to detect games on the computer and set up all the keys for some of my games, the keys do not go into effect and change profile when I open my steam games.I set it change profiles for each game file (the .app, also I am running the latest version of OS X). I suspect it has something to do with steam interfering but cannot confirm or find out how to fix. Please tell me how to fix this problem please. Thanks!
