So, I built my first computer, one of my greatest bragging and success stories so far, and it turns on. I don't have a monitor (I will order one) so for first time bootup, I tried plugging it into a TV. No signal. Do I need to boot it up and set it up on a monitor first?

No it still should have worked. Do you have a discrete GPU or are you using the iGPU?

Tried plugging it into the mobo and my R9 390, no dice. Could it be I have no SATA Data Cables is the problem? (I ordered those too)

The system should still post into the bios even without a drive connected to it. Make sure you have all power connections plugged in like the 24 pin and 8 pin for the CPU.

Both should be plugged in just fine. Anything else that should be plugged in?

Do you have the power cables connected to your gpu? also make sure whenever you try to post using the igpu that your 390 isn't plugged into the mobo. If the 390 is plugged into the mobo the iGPU won't work.

What do you mean plugged in? Like directly plugged into the PCI-e Lane?+

Yes. If the 390 is inserted into the PCI-E lane the iGPU will not work.

Yes if you don't feel like taking the 390 out. Just make sure you have the power cables going to your 390 as well. Definitely don't want to forget those.

Does everything boot? like lights etc? Need more Info

Also, check take the GPU out of the lane and insert it back in, once you have done that reconnect those power connectors in. :D

LEDs, Switch, yadda, yadda boots. Also problem, a VGA cord connected to the 390 and PSU keeps falling out, so that might be a problem. Let me see if it goes into BIOS now.

Use HDMI, try other ports on the card.

What do you mean by PSU falling out?

I found how to get into BIOS, but how do I install the stuff on my discs? And then boot to desktop? And, pressing ESC or any key literally does nothing. (Like Windows, Drivers, etc.) And, when do I reinstall my R9 390 and use its ports?

Just get Windows 10 on a USB, turn the computer off plug the USB into the computer, boot it, then windows 10 installation will come up.

How to -

Please ask more questions if you're having trouble :D

But... I don't have my SATA Data cables installed. (their not here yet) So theoritcally, wouldn't it not allow me to download Windows? And second, isn't W7 better for the R9 390?

Oh, sorry. I had no clue! :/

Screw one or two screws of the bracket (depending on how big the card is)

Open the latch for the PCIE slot

Slot the card In (you should here a click of some sort)

Get the PCIE power connectors plug them in, make sure there is no short and double check if they're installed right

Done...

Install the card, wait for your SATA cables to come and install windows on a USB.

I linked a video on how to install windows on a USB! You should be fine! :D
