Supercard DSTwo Plus setup help

I have a DSTwo Plus with the latest firmware on it (I just bought it) from the Supercard website. v1.14. 

The root of the card has the _dstwo folder. 

 

I have a DSi with v.1.4. 
- The DSTwo Plus works.

 

 

I also have a DSi XL with 1.4.5. 

- The DSTwo Plus does not work. It is detected as the correct game, but when I launch it, I get the ever-known "An error has occurred" and tells me to turn off the DS. 

 

I had done what I thought was a lot of reading and comparing before I bought the DSTwo+. It's my understanding that it is compatible with 1.4.5. Did I get the wrong impression during my research, or do I need to do something else?
