Massdrop questions.

I'm planning to get a Nvidia Geforce GTX 1070 for the cheapest price.

 

I went on all the websites I can and could only find Massdrop to have the cheapest price: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/msi-gtx-1070-founders-edition-pre-order

 

It's about £315 plus some shipping.

 

However, does the price include VAT?

That excludes VAT and VAT is approximately £100 for the 1070 on Newegg so....

hmmm, then I would wait for a mod answer on Massdrop, not every drop includes VAT I believe

You would have to pay duty on the card and that is 13.9% of the item plus shipping & insurance then once that cost is calculated, its another 20% VAT on top of that.

 

So, you have a item at £320 (Plus shipping/insurance, say another £50 for that), then that brings the cost up by £51.43 to make £421.43, then another £20 on top of that for a total cost of £505.72. UK guys importing a 1070 will see their cards be around the £500-£600 mark would be my guess.

 

Ive dome a lot of importing in the past 3 years so I know my way around the HMRC website to get my Duty percentage for the item I'm importing.

 

I'm UK based and if I were anyone in thins country, id import from anywhere up to the EU until we quite the EU in a couple of weeks time as the EU import duty and tax is 0%. However for certain items, I will import from the USA.
