this gpu failing?

so im getting a hard lock up when trying to play dead island definitive edition with my 1080. but so far it appears to be the only game that is causing it so not sure if it is driver related or what but this is what it does when it locks up

If it is only happening in 1 game like that, it is likely a drive/game issue. Are you OC'ing the card? If so, try going to factory clocks and see if it continues to happen.

figured it out lol seems my evga software was auto ocing to 5000mhz dunno how or why
