Missing files after upgrading RAM, help

So I just installed my new memory kit : g skill 8GB DDR3, the exact same model that I already had. When I restarted my PC I had to re-download windows 10, my antivirus and many games that I had along with some random stuff, I don't know if that is normal... Problem is that the games that I had to download were still technically installed in my PC. When I open my programs and features tab in the control panel none of my stuff is there except what I just downloaded. But if I go into my actual folders (windows(C:)) the games are still there. For exemple : GTA5, I had that game downloaded before this happened, but now that I installed my new memory kit, steam tells me that I need to install GTA 5 again, but in my folders (windows(C:)) GTA5 is still there with all the files along it. If I try to run it from there it opens the social club page and tells me that its not been opened from steam. Than if I try to play GTA5 from steam it tells me I need to install it. So I am installing again it but the problem is it will take twice the space on my PC since it's already installed and I'm installing it again... And I can't uninstall the old one because it's not in the programs and features tab of the control panel. Is there any other way to uninstall? An other problem is I had Malwarebytes before and now it's gone and I need to pay again to have it again... Is this all normal when you upgrade your ram, did I do something wrong? Like I said my new memory kit is the exact kit that I already had. Both are in my only two slots of my motherboard so I don't know what would be the problem... Please help me, thanks

Just delete the folder. Or right click on the game, select properties, go to the "Local Files" tab, and click on the "Verify integrity of game cache..." button.
