Sleep Static!

I don't know if I put this in the right topic section but,

 

When I have finished using my computer I put it into sleep, until today I had left my computer on sleep for about 6 hours and I woke it up (with the mouse). It just displayed a ton of static, the mouse appeared after 15 seconds and then I had the blue error screen.

 

I restarted the computer put on sleep, went for 15 mins and then I woke it up, then static again. This time there was no blue screen but I just hit the restart button on my case and haven't put it back on sleep yet.

Have you got access to another monitor or possibly a tv screen. You could test this on a different output source to see if the problem persists then you would have a little bit more information?
