Good and quick CPU stress test program

So I undervolted my laptop's CPU and now I'm looking for a program to stress test it. I don't want to stress test my PC overnight (my parent's wont allow anything plugged in overnight) so I'm looking for something that will do the job quick and efficiently. I used Intel XTU for undervolting. Is the built-in stress tester okay? How long should I run it? If not, what other programs can you recommend?

I usually do 10-15 minutes

only run the small fft test. anything else could overvolt your cpu if its haswell and newer

Don't run Prim95, try Aida64. But keep in mind you'll have to stress test a CPU overclock for at least 8 hours to ensure it's stable.

It's known to do weird stuff to the CPU that overstresses it. Like move voltages around and such. The small FFTs test might be fine but I wouldn't know.

 

AIDA64 is great because it stops a test if it detects hardware error, saving you the blue screen from time to time

P.S. Should I only check Stress CPU? or should I also stress FPU?

Go for stress CPU, FPU, and cache. Those are all parts of the CPU (integer unit, floating point unit, processor cache).

 

If you overclocked memory, throw that in as well.

Desktops don't use battery power so that option is irrelevant. For laptops I'd say no, the laptop will run out of battery before a good stress test is completed if not connected to the wall.
