I'm upgrading my cpu to a 6800k from a fx6300. Currently I have a maxt case but don't mind upgrading to a new case if I have to. Anyone awhere of a new x99 mobo in matx or some suggestions on a decent atx that won't be too high priced for now.

Something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132584&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker, LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=

I am a paid professional, but only when I am at work...and getting paid.

Exact price? Certain colors?

Also don't go for Asus, mediocre motherboards and RMA service that is trash.

And what are you exaly base that statement on?

Asus being mediocre motherboards?

Hmmz i´m highly doubting that you have any common sense about motherboards in general.

And if you do have, then i´m very currious on what you base your mediocre statement on.

Because Asus has pretty much the best VRM implementation on their entire lineup of X99 boards and the best Bios of all X99 boards out there.

I just ordered a 6800k system and went with the Asus ROG Strix x99, 439$ in CDN dollars.  Good "enough" for now, after seeing 6950 vs 5960 performance over at Paul's HW, I'm not sure I'll bother spending that much for a 90% gaming system, in fact I know I won't.  I would buy the 6850, but it's not available from my shop I use yet, and will upgrade to that CPU later, maybe, if it's worth it over the 6800k (PCI E lanes is the only issue I have any concern at all about, as I'm running 1080 SLI founders and 1 m.2 drive and 1 SSD drive).

I'd like to stay between 200-300 because I'll need ram as well. My max budget is 1000. I need cpu, mobo, ram, and case if I do atx as my current setup is m-atx. Colors wise I really like the new in win 303 in white blue so if I went that route of paint my r9 nano to match. My nano is red black so that might be any easier option.

I was thinking about just going with the 6700 as it seems like there are more lga1151 options but the 6800 isn't much more 399$ at my local microcenter right know. But it seems like that would limit my options as far as upgradeability.

What are your main goals with this system?

If its mainaly gaming then the 6700K is basicly more then fine.

If you wanne build a machine for gaming and productivity workloads.

Then the 6800K would be the better choice obviously.

But the Asus X99-A II should be a good choice.
