Alright, so I finished my watercooling loop the other day to find out that nothing would turn on what so ever, since then I discovered it was because i had tightened my GPU backplates to tightly and they were shorting out the cards, i have loosened them and now my system turns on, kinda. Now my problem is that neither one of my 7970s are giving an output. The red VgA LED on my X79 sabertooth will light up on boot telling me that there is an error and it wont turn off :( i have inserted a 7770 along with my 2x7970s to see if the LED would turn of and funnily enough it did and i was able to receive a signal on my monitor. Once in windows i went in to MSI after burner to see if it recognized my 7970s but i was not in luck.

Any suggestions to my problem are much appreciated.

Also, i have tried to flash my bios and have had no luck.

Aside from a poor connection to the power cable and if they're actually getting the correct power, I see the shorting as the only cause. As bluntly as Drethstoff put it - I think they're dead. ;(
The thing is i plugged the stock cooler into on of the cards and they would power the fans on the cooler. Could that mean that they're not dead?

I doubt it - if you just plugged the fans into power then the fans are fine. What exactly did you plug together?

Take your cooler off and inspect your PCB closely, especially near the VRM. There will probably be something burnt out around there.
