Obviously this isn't exactly the place to go to ask about history but this is an active forum and the only forum I really like. Anyways, I need help on a question:

 

Which surrogate war was most beneficial to the Soviet Union?

 

Notes:

Surrogate war = proxy war = no direct fighting between the nations

I confirmed with my teacher that the 3 possible surrogate wars to "choose" from are: Chinese Civil War, Korean War and Vietnam War

This is a high school course, so you don't need to go that in depth.

 

I would appreciate if you also explained why one of the wars was most beneficial.
