new pc build for VR

hi guys I'm new to the forum and I need some help I have a pc with a 2500k and 8gb ram and I ran the oculus rift compatibility tool and everything passed except my CPU what would be some suggestions about getting my pc ready for virtual reality or do I need to buy all new parts thanks so much for the help its truly appreciated

I have a 2500k corsair vengeance ram and a R9 290 gpu

That's odd.make sure all the drivers are up to date. A 2500k should still have the juice for a vr station if my 8350 does...
