Temporary Files?

Ok so on my SSD OS drive if i go in to Disk Cleanup it says i have 5MB of temp files but in the windows storage settings it says i have 36GB
Should i delete those temp files or are they something different?

Storage: 250GB Samsung Evo, 3TB WD Black and Green FIRESTRIKE, Reason for dedicated PhysX Card.

Peripherals: Screen: 3x BenQ VZ2350 Mouse: Razer Naga Keyboard: Some Dell Thing Sound: Razer Tiamat, 5.1 Logitech Surround Speakers

is this residual data from like a win7/win8 to 10 upgrade? or did you get all that out already?

I have no clue, i updated to win10 like 6 or 7 months ago, dont remember deleting windows 8 stuff

check the 'clean up system files' in disk cleanup it usually says if it's still there.

i clicked that and it closed the Disk Cleanup screen and re opened it, didnt notice any thing ells

Yeah idk I don't trust that win10 settings app. It frankly scares me compared to when I was in Win7 since it says I have less space than my properties window does. Also SSD

Should i delete the 36GB worth of temp files in the windows settings or not? cause its 36GB but i duno if there cache files or what

yeah just temp files, I tried using that tool and it still left me with the original temp space so maybe some is needed but it will do whatever.

 

it takes a while.
