Following the Windows 10 updates reboot mid-stream fiasco, I became curious as to how often this has actually happened to people.

 

I've been using Win 10 from day 1 and have yet to have it happen to me. I can't remember if I messed around with the automatic update settings

It happened something like that to me.
I wasn't sitting in front of my computer, but I had some long running task over night, which actually used a lot of CPU (I don't remember if it was multithreaded or just one thread). Eventually, Windows thought that if the mouse is not moving, it can restart.

 

I have Windows 10 Pro and I forgot to turn off automatic restarts. Now, I have the setting turned off, but I haven't tested yet what happens when you don't click on the postpone popup.
