I'm not sure exactly what that error means, but unfortunately...

1. That key won't ever work
2. You will need to buy a new key (Microsoft will NOT give you one for free)
3. Try to get a refund from Ebay

goto kinguin.net and get a code for 25 bucks.  Then report the seller to ebay.

i just build my computer, i have windows 7 install, but no activation yet.

will the product key work if i order from kinguin.net?

You can get one from /r/microsoftsoftwareswap, here's a seller that accepts Amazon Gift Cards (among other payment methods)
