I built my first pc yesterday. And it dosent turn on. No leds no fans nothing. I jump started the power supply and the fan spun on it. But other than that no movement when it hit the power button. I have checked all the connections multiple times. I am afraid the mobo is broken becuase I got a fleck of salivia on it. I know that the outlet I'm using works and the psu is turned on and plugged in.

When I built my second PC, I was convinced that it's impossible to plug in anything incorrectly. When it didn't boot up, my dad found out that I plugged in 4-pin CPU power wrong. It was rotated 90 degrees left. Check that, but if you have 8-pin CPU power, I don't know - try turning it on by connecting motherboard's power pins with a screwdriver. I don't think that the saliva killed your motherboard, it must have dried out by the time you turned on the PC.

My heart belongs to AMD but that doesn't mean I furiously hate Intel or NVIDIA :)

Did you properly check the PSU, hotwire it and use a multimeter to see if it gives out the proper voltages.

EDIT:

Try going like this:

1. Check CPU socket for bent pins cause there were cases where the new out of the box mobo had bent CPU socket pins.

2. Put in CPU+cooler (and obviously thermal paste) and a stick of RAM.

3. Plug in the 24-pin and 4/8-pin power connectors from PSU.

4. Plug in only the power switch from the front I/O.

5. Try booting up.
