It there a quick and easy way to switch between two soundcards, without going through controlpanel?

I do remember Linus for about 1-2 years ago in a video or on the WAN show mentioned he had a solution for it, but never did go into details.

Want to switch between headphones and speakers, which uses different soundcards (Internal add in Asus card, and an external USB DAC)

Sorry for the few off Capital letters in my posts, it does it on its own when I Write in English, since my OS is in another Language. It's annoying.

Could be solved by some programming and soldering. Program something that monitors an external switch and switch the default sound device, the external switch is probably something via USB serial.

Or you could go the complete hardware way of physically switching the source. But not applicable in your case when you have 2 separate DACs.

The Internet is invented by cats. Why? Why else would it have so much cat videos?

If you mean changing the default device in windows, then i used audioswitcher:  http://audioswit.ch/er .

Thanks, that worked perfectly
