Okay first... some back story. I currently have a 960 4gig card in my system. I also have Arkham Knight installed on my system. Originally, when i went to play batman, I could... but on medium settings. So, i searched around and found out you could put another card in and have it run physx calculations. So i put my old 750ti back in and i could play it fine on high settings. Well, I just sold my 750ti on the app LetGo. And on the app, someone is selling their EVGA 970 for 250 bucks but will bargain for a price. So, I was thinking I could grab the 970 and slave the 960 as a physx calculator... but i wonder if just buying another 960 and using sli would work better.

I would go 970 and sell the 960. Maybe use the money towards the 970.

OR, just wait til the new cards are ready in June.

As someone who has run SLI (both 2, 3 and 4-way) in the past I can only advice you that you stay away from it. Wait for the new generation and upgrade then. :)

I completely forgot about the new generation coming out!!! you're right. I guess i'll wait then, thew 960 is fine for me right now.

Using another card for physX calculations has been proven to be garbage. Wait for the new cards or sell your 960 and buy the 970.
