I just set up my MSI GE72 Apache Pro-242 to an external monitor and are running them simultaneously. I plugged in my G230 Logitech headset, using only the 3.5mm microphone cord in the microphone, not using the headset speakers, and plugged in a pair of Inland external speakers. Based on research neither of them use drivers? Idk, i dont really know much about audio tech.

So i plugged the speakers in, and the MSI popup that asks what kind of device you are plugging in came up. I choose speakers.

The problem here is my friend says i am cutting out on skype. I did an echo test and this is true. Is there just a problem using speakers and a headset mic seperately on a laptop? The mic 3.5 is going to headset, and the speakers 3.5 is going to my speakers. The headset has two 3.5 ends on it, one for speakers and one for mic. Everything is plugged correctly but i dont know what to do.

The laptop came with Nahimic, which i used to try to fix it, but it ended up not helping much and i promptly uninstalled the program. Please help if you can! :)
