hey, im building my first pc. i have my current prebuilt pc which has-

gtx 750

8gb ram

i5-4460

all other parts are bad since its prebuilt. i'm hoping to take things like the hard drive, gpu, cpu and ram from the old pc and put it in the new build. here are the parts for the new build  http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cnmVt6 but i've been debating on a gtx 980 and a gtx 970. And i'm going to keep the cpu and will hopefully upgrade to a 4790k at a later time. i don't really want it to be too crazy but i have a budget of around 600 (for now) and the gtx 980 would obviously be over that. so please make recommendations for parts or stuff that i'm missing and also if its worth the extra money for the 980

I'd skip the GTX 980 and just stick with the R9 390/GTX 970 and invest into a SSD. Just don't get that PSU.

I really like this build, the SSD makes loading times blow by and the R9 390 is no slouch.

If you prefer NVIDIA over AMD, well, I can't really stop you. I just don't think the GTX 980 is worth it. It's either GTX 970 or GTX 980Ti for me.

Just don't get that PSU. EVGA's NEX series aren't good.
