good VGA-AV adapter

I was looking for a Av to VGA adapter so I could hook up some retro consoles to on of my old VGA moniters, all of the ones I have seen have terrible reviews. Can some one help me find a decent inexpensive adapter?

AV? What exactly do you mean by that? RCA? If so, is it composite or component? Or just plain old SCART? As I understand it, very few consoles have any of these natively. Instead they use some proprietary connector at the device end and one or the other at the other end.

My NES has just plain composite red, yellow and, white Av cables that I would want to put in  a standard VGA moniter.
