As you can see I'm using the i5 6500(Non K) because of this I thought that an aftermarket cooler is not absolutely necessary. So i decided to stick with the stock cooler for now.

1. Is the stock cooler terrible in terms, of noise and heat?

After that I was thinking of getting either an air cooler or a water cooler like the Kraken. Before you shout overkill!

2. Is it overkill?

I would get a cpu cooler but coolers like the 212 don't look good in a windowed case, all you see is the metal bit.

3. Do you know of any air coolers that would look nice in the s340 windowed case?

After I'm done with the stock cooler.

4.What do you think I should do get a air cooler, if not what water cooler would be nice? I was thinking the kraken (little pricey though)

any suggestions welcome!!

1. No, it's fine. Especially with lower clocked chips like the 6500 the fan won't even spin that fast and in idle it is nearly silent.

2. Because you can't overclock the 6500 you should simply get the cheapest good looking air cooler. I haven't seen a bad performing air cooler in years. Aything above the stock cooler is pretty much overkill.

3. be Quiet has some good looking air coolers, especially the Dark Rock Pro 3 looks amazing. But it might be a little too large and again it would be a totaly overkill.

4. I would choose an air cooler. It's usually quieter, cheaper and still performs really well.
