A few days ago I purchased a Razer Blackwidow 2013 from a friend for $30 knowing that the some of the switches "Lost" their "clickyness". He never told me why they stopped working but I figured out that he spilled a little bit of mountain dew on the keyboard. Only some major switches were effected. The V,I,U buttons actuate but don't have a tactile clickyness to them. I found a video that quite accurately shows what my keys sound and feel like.

Some of my keys sound like this guys 2,3 and 4 buttons in his video.

Feel free to skip to about 0:35.

I have attempted to fix it and only found a short term solution. I was using a syringe to inject 91% isopropyl alchohol into the switches and then actuate them repeatedly. I felt the clickyness slowly return and it was passable to type on, however, it slowly returned to it's old state.

I really need a permanent fix for this and I would be really grateful if anyone could help out, Thanks!

take off the key caps and using a syringe put a small amount of pure alcohol into the ("Lost" their "clickyness" ) while activating the switches multiply times.

Works perfectly every time. I done the same about a year ago but im using 99.98 percent methyl alcohol that seams to be the only difference between us.

The reason your 91% isopropyl alchohol doesnt work is cause of a small amount of salt :-) just incase you wanted to know.

Solder off the switch and replace them if you know how to and have experience. Other than that, try to see if you can get warranty?

Isn't that what I did?

I'm not comfortable doing that and I don't have proof of purchase for Razer.

This is unnecessary.

Take off all the key caps.

Soak in mildly soapy water (Dawn soap is good for this) for a day.

Take it out and let dry for a week in a warm, non-humid environment.

It should work fine now. Make sure not to plug it in until it is dry. Very important. Otherwise it will fry itself more than likely.

Soapy water? Yeesh. Should I actuate the switches while it is soaking?

not exactly different type of alcohol (use methyl alcohol) and by the way if isopropyl alchohol gets heated up with cooper say from your keyboard that will make acetone which will make the plastic start to shrivel and crack

Once or twice after you put it in and then once or twice after you take it out. Not much though, it should not matter.

Is there any risk that the keyboard won't work after I do this? (Assuming I gave it enought time to dry).

I highly doubt it.

No. It should completely work fine afterwards, so long as it dried long enough.
