So I have an interesting one for you today... I have an old Dell Laptop without a shell, I basically have the laptop and the power cord and by laptop I mean a fully functioning computer outside of the the case. However I have no idea (a) what model it is and (b) how to turn the damn thing on (I don't have the ribbon cable)

Information about it:

- I have been told the screen had a 4:3 aspect ratio

- It has a 160GB 7200RPM HDD (Might not be OEM)

- 2GB RAM (not sure the DDR or speed :/)

- The keyboard was black and has one of those weird blue rubber things that can be used as an alternative to the trackpad

- The keycaps were the same as the ones on the Inspiron 5100

- The CPU is some Core2 Duo

- The screen had a latch to keep it locked on to the body.

- Including the screen I have been told its about an inch thick (maybe about 2/3 the thickness of a 5100)

If you guys can tell me (a) what model it is or (b) how to turn it on I will be a very happy camper :D

To turn it on, there should be a small power switch or power button somewhere on the motherboard.

EDIT: Should look something like this one

@ion529 If there isn't one of those, it'll probably take more time than it's worth trying to get it on.
