Hey, new to audio, pretty much know nothing about it. I think i'm going to pick up the hyperx cloud (not hyperx cloud II) and it says mini 3.5 4-pole. The motherboard I want to pick up has 3.5 analog connecters. Are these compatible because I don't want to plug my headsets into the front. Thanks!

In any case, to make a 4 pole headset work, it need to be pluged in a 4 pole connector, or you cannot use all the features (like no microphone).

The only option is to buy an adapter that would plug in the microphone and headset connector of most (in not all) motherboard or front pannel.

Something like that. So it combine two connectors into one.

If anybody see a motherboard or case with a 4 pole connector, I would like to see it.

Edit: That headset seems to have 2x 3.5mm connectors...and come with an adapter if you want to use it in a 3.5mm 4 pole. What I said before would be valid for the cloud 2.
