So I wanted to host a website on an old computer I have

I thought Ubuntu would be a good OS.

So I installed LAMP (Which includes Apache2 and PHP).

Apache works fine, I can access the website through my outside IP or domain I set up.

PHP works as well, the PHP code is getting executed.

On the website, I've got a form, which I'd like people to fill out, then have PHP email me what they input (to my gmail if possible)

I tried to install sendmail; didn't work. Not sure why.

Also tried to install postfix. Couldn't figure out how to test it from the command line. I'm guessing it didn't work.

  1. How do you correctly install sendmail?
  2. Is there a better solution to notify me when a form is submitted?
