Laptop RAM upgrade

I was wondering whether one can upgrade the pre-installed RAM modules in an Acer E5-574G-52QU with a better one, i.e. can one replace the DDR3L 1600MHz module with something better like a 2133MHz having better latency timings?

I dont think it supports.. anyway. dont do it.. you wont see any improvements at all

Why so? A faster RAM having lower latency should have better performance theoretically.

you wont gain anything with games at all and, I dont even think that laptops supports any ram that is faster than 1600MHz.

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that Ddr3l doesn't have fsb higher than 1600MHz. Also i couldn't find any at Amazon

Anyways one more thing, I read somewhere that CL9 and CL11 doesn't have too much difference in performance with the latest processors and memory controllers; is this true?

yeah, the only use case for really fast ram is video and picture editing and BF 4 where you can gain 4-8 fps
