I recently decided I wanted to get into fun, little IoT/maker projects. I came up with a hilarious idea. My sister's room is the only room upstairs other than my dad's office (that's Florida for you). Anyways, I thought I'd scare her if she came downstairs at night to get a drink or go to the bathroom. Using a Raspberry Pi, an IR camera, an ultrasonic sensor, and a speaker, I plan to angle the camera and ultrasonic sensor up the stairs, where they can sense and record her when she comes down the stairs. Then, it would set off some kind of alarm, played over the speaker. I know it's expensive for a little prank, but I can reuse all the stuff for other projects. Basically, I want to make sure I'll have everything I need, since this is my first project. Also, if you have any suggestions or changes, those would all be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
