My pump just started making weird noises, kind of like air bubbles or something else is in the pump.

No idea why.

Ideas?

Is a D5 pump/res combo, loop is about 6 months old.

Alien life forms were created and live in your pump as a result of bacteria that was inside your pump evolving?

two things and you nailed one, residual air trapped in the system or pump issue.

if this is the same system from before (remoted radiator) possibility of a languishing air pocket from the radiator.

Yeah, but its weird that it all of a sudden happened, after 6 months. And it doesnt seem to stop making the  noise, its been making it for about 10 min

shut system down, remote power the pump and tilt/move the radiator and pump to dislodge the air pocket.

if no amount to movement of the pump/radiator can remedy the situation, consider the pump on the way out. contact your retailer/manufacturer for warranty needs.

Well actually, it seems if I move tubing arround, the noise temperarily stops, so probably air.

Probably no luck contacting retailer, frozencpu... though their website says they are open again, and I live nearby.

But its probably just air bubbles, as moving tubing temporarily stops it.

yeah, air can linger in the most inconvenient places and discharge at a whims notice.

to replace, then contact the mannie of the pump (swiftech, ek, xspc, etc..) on what need to be done to correct a defective pump (if it comes to that) from a retailer no longer in business (FrozenCPU).

OK, thanks.

It appears the pump is ok, and I guess frozencpu is open (but I wont be giving them my money any time soon without a change of ownership)
