Graphics Driver Re Installation Issue

Hello and thank you for taking your time to look at this.

I noticed an issue a few weeks back when I was trying to play The Culling where I got 62 fps (because it was frame locked), and the next day got about 20 on The Culling and Payday 2 (which I was also previously able to run at 60fps). I was playing at the lowest settings and nothing had changed in between those days except I updated the graphics driver (to the newest one recommended by GeForce experience). After I did some research, I preformed a clean install of that same graphics driver and I was back to getting 60fps. The next day, I had to do a system restore which would reload the boot disk without deleting any of my personal files because I deleted some environment variables by accident and I had to re install the driver. Now it is the next day and the game is back down to 20 fps and I will have to preform another clean install of the graphics driver.

Does anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix it?

SPECS:
Intel i5 2320 3GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit
Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB

Try using either/both of these tools to get a fresh system w/out graphics drivers, then try and reinstall.

I've heard that windows 10 can sometimes be an issue with resetting the motherboard's internal GPU as the main one, even when you disable it. If your problem persists after that then try using this tutorial http://winsupersite.com/windows-10/stop-automatic-driver-updates-windows-10 to remove the default driver updating software in windows 10 (if that happens to Not work, please reset the settings as you might need it).

 Hope this helps :)

Don't install new drivers if current ones are working alright.
