Hey.

I'll soon be getting a h100i v2 to replace my current Hyper 212 as the cooler for my 5820k. I'll put 2 sp120's on the h100i, and replace the two NZXT stocks in the case with AF120's.

How should i arrange the airflow though?

This was my plan:

Top: intake

Rear: exhaust

Two on radiator: intake

What do you think?

Well thats ok, but I would prefer the top to be exhaust since hot air rises. This would make it easier for hot air to leave the case. 2 exhaust and 2 intake is usually what people do.

That seems like the most reasonable setup. are there no front slots for fans?

also, why do you have your 5820k listed as 3.2ghz? Thats underclocking...

Gaming - Ryzen 9800X3D | 64GB 6400mhz cl30 9070 XT

Homelab - many servers...constantly changing.

3970X/256GB - 5950X/128GB ECC - 5600G/96GB - 3400GE/16GB - 3400GE/16GB

Front slots for fans? That's where my radiator will be :)

3.2 is a typo lol

Ah ok. Then yeah that setup seems to be the best. only other option would be to have the top and rear as exhaust, but with the same number of intakes but them being on radiators, you'd probably end up with negative pressure and lots of dust.

Im guessing the typo was meant to be 4.2ghz, make sure you OC that higher when you get that radiator installed ;)

Haven't oc'd at all with the hyper 212 unfortunately

I'm too much of a silence freak(even the stock fans are making me a bit crazy)

I managed quite a bit of silence by putting two AF120s in push-pull into the EVO. I was barely able to hear them with the case open at 1200RPM. Your mileage may vary though and the 5820K is probably too big for the little cooler. I'd still try it personally to find out.

It's a shame the stock EVO fan isn't that good because it looks great :)

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here
