hello

my pc is running really weirdly and i believe that there is a bottle neck somewhere, when playing games, the game will load fine but out of nowhere it would seem that the fps will drop right down to almost unplayable level then go back. at first though this was just happening randomly but it seems that it happens when you move to a new are or the game is loading the next lot of npcs . i have tried turning v sync off and even playing games at the very lowest settings at a smaller resoultion and it still happens. could my hdd be bottle-necking everything else, as last night i relised that when i closed the games my pc was running slowly and in task manger my disk was running at 99%.

thanks in advance.

EDITED: Found your pc specs -

AMD FX-8350 4.00GHz (4.20GHz Turbo) 8x Core Processor - Unlocked

16 gb ram

1 tb hdd

Sapphire Radeon NITRO R9 390 Tri X OC AMD Graphics Card 8GB

Ya man your system should be running atleast 60fps on a 1080p monitor with high settings. Try going into your task manager and closing out of stuff you dont need to run. Go back into the game, put it in windowed mode, watch task manager and then tell us whats different.

Reliable $550 Starter PC (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/KGgpZL) *Just waiting for someone to need help with there ram so I can make a downloadmoreram.com joke*

Sounds like your CPU is given a task that loads it up to 100% when you're playing games.

Just run a game in windowed mode alongside Task Manager with the Performance tab showing.

Then you'll be able to narrow it down to what exactly is causing the CPU usage to go to 100%, could be antivirus or some other background program.

EDIT: If it only occurs when loading new locations and ISN'T a random thing, then that would point to possibly a failing (or very slow) hard drive, especially if the hard drive is at 99% in Task Manager.
